Our St. Mary Street store dates back as a jewellers as far as 1896; originally known as 'Kingston Brothers', we are Cardiff’s oldest Independent Jewellery store. It is this heritage that we pride our service and traditional values upon, and this ties into the look and many of the fittings and furnishings within the shop.
Pride
We take great pride in our rich heritage and outstanding reputation from over a 100 years, successfully combining all the positive qualities from our past with an innovative approach with some of the Jewellery industries top Brands of today as well as an extensive range of Pre-Owned Jewellery & Watches. We also buy Scrap Gold & Silver, or can use your un-wanted or used gold to create something unique. We offer a comprehensive on-site repair service, including; Jewellery repairs, Re-tipping & Re-setting, Ring Sizing, Re-Shanks, Rhodium Plating, Watch Repairs and Services.
Independent
Having spent many years within the Jewellery trade as a rep, David moved into the retail side of the Jewellery Industry in 1981 which was when Jonathan David Jewellers was born having moved from a trade and retail company to solely focus on the retail side of things. Today David & Margaret are accompanied by their son Jonathan whom the store is named after, as well as a number of staff who really set us out from every other Independent and we cannot praise enough. We really are a family run business who strive to provide 'great quality and service' to each and every customer.
Modern
As well as maintaining these traditional values we also embrace the modern and this can be seen through our number of avenues allowing our customers to engage with us as a company. Whether that be through social networks to simply enquire about a product or service, video channels allowing customers to see some of the things that go on behind the scenes at Jonathan David, to video calls should a customer require or be unable to visit us in-store. Jewellery though, always has and will always be an emotional purchase, and we would like to make that experience truly special for you as a customer.
